“Happy Independence day!!”, screamed the Joeys, our 5 to 6 year olds, as they excitedly held up their flags on the screen right after they made the flags.
They have been going deeper into their identity as Indians, discovering their root and passion for their country by learning about their country’s freedom struggle, the freedom fighters, the national symbols, and what they truly stand for. Not just one side of the story though, they have been delving deeper through empathy to see the other side of the story too!
