History in Perspective | Independence Day Event | Teasers

​Identity formation and exploration are key elements in the development of anything and anybody; whether it is a child, a new entrepreneurial journey, or a nation. 

With the Independence Day of India approaching on the 15th of August, at Sparkling Mindz Global, children have been exploring the identity of India and how India has reached where she is at right now. In this adventure, they have journeyed through the ancient, medieval, and modern India, discovering and building on their own identities as Indians in the process. They are representing this journey of India as three different eras – Ancient, Medieval, Modern. 

​Their questions are, ‘Do we know how old India really is? From the Indus – Valley Civilization to Aryan Imigration, to the growing pastoral urban civilizations, how far do we go?’ 

In the upcoming I-Day event on this 10th, Ancient India comes to speak, represented by the being that has seen and lived through it all – the Yagna Kunda. 

From the Indus – Valley Civilization to Aryan Imigration, to the growing pastoral urban civilizations, and the onset of Hiduism as a religion with a plethora of temples being constructed, how far do we go?’ 

Medieval India comes to speak, represented by the beings that have seen and lived through it all – our Temples, such as the Brihadeshwara of Tanjavur. 

We all have grown up with ‘Himsa’ and ‘Ahimsa’ ringing in our ears especially when Independence Day comes close. 

But how many of us really paid attention to the story of India that they witnessed? 

Our Modern day India is to speak, represented by personified Himsa and Ahimsa concepts of our freedom struggle on this Independence Day.
