What is Freedom Habba?
Freedom Habba is the Karnataka government’s Independence Day celebration, planned around Vidhana Soudha — moving beyond the traditional flag-hoisting ceremony to bring together music, culture, history, food, and activities for children and families across the city.
Held under the theme “Namma Ooru, Nimma Ooru, Ellara Bengaluru” (Our City, Your City, Everyone’s Bengaluru), the day offers citizens unprecedented public access inside the legislature building and assembly hall — spaces rarely open to the public — alongside a parade, cultural performances, guided tours, and community stalls, all in one shared space.
It’s freedom celebrated in public, together, as one city.
Sparkling Mindz at Freedom Habba
Sparkling Mindz is proud to be part of this historic celebration, bringing three experiences to the carnival:
🏛️ Vidhana Soudha Tour
Sparkling Mindz children step into the role of guides, hosting a tour of Karnataka’s seat of government for visitors at the carnival — turning a monument into a living lesson in citizenship.
💃 Dance Performance
Sparkling Mindz children take the stage with a dance drama performance that gives voice to the lakes of Bengaluru — a story told through movement, for the crowds gathered at the heart of the city.
🏕️ Mission Stalls
Sparkling Mindz community missions open their stalls to the city, showcasing what our children have built, learned, and championed all year long.
